M/Other Earth is not here to soothe you. She is wild, ruptured, and relentless. This exhibition brings together contemporary artists working across various media to trace the tangled, intimate threads between nature, power and the human experience. What unfolds is a conversation shaped by ecofeminist thought, concurrently tender as it is wolfish.

The title, M/Other Earth, splits open the word Mother, letting in the Other: the deviant, the disposable, the dismembered and unleashed. It speaks to how both exploited bodies and the Earth have been romanticized and ravaged, made docile and mythic in service of capital, empire, and extraction. And yet, within that violence, something unruly persists. Something that aches, resists, and remembers.

Some works bite back, confronting the grotesque aftershocks of toxic masculinity as it seeps through both human and ecological systems. Others lean into softness, intuition, and the sensual, as methods of refusal, as ways of world-making. Together, they articulate a range of responses: grief and ferocity, critique and embrace.

M/Other Earth does not propose purity. Instead, it offers entanglement. The body as soil, as battlefield, as archive despite being dismembered and distributed across our earth. A space where these limbs can be reassembled into new forms of kinship. A call to notice who bears the weight when the Earth is burned, and to imagine, however messily, what it might mean to tend, to hold, to live otherwise.
